Roofline
fascias, soffits and guttering

If your roofline is looking rotten or damaged, it could be time to replace your guttering, fascias or soffits.

The gutters, fascias and soffits of your building are subjected to constant erosion and weather damage and so can often be the first cause of leaks if not properly maintained. Taking care of your roof line is the best way to prolong the life and efficiency of your roof and protect your property from damage.

We have extensive experience in working on all types and ages of property so specialise in a variety of roofline materials to best suit your building including; Timber, uPVC, Cast Iron and Aluminium.

Fascias

The fascia board runs along the lower edge of the roof and is fixed into the lower ends of the roof trusses. It therefore usually supports the bottom row of tiles, as well as carrying all the guttering.

During rainfall, when the fascia has to hold several gallons of water per second, it must be in good condition and undamaged to perform efficiently and to prevent flooding or leaks into your property.

Soffits

Soffits are more concealed from the elements and seal the space between the Fascias and the wall of the property. They are crucial in safeguarding the base of the rafters from rain as well as preventing wildlife from entering or nesting in your roof space. Failure to maintain your soffits could thus lead to further damage and expense. Installing soffits with adequate ventilation is also essential in maintaining the condition of your roof and preventing harmful damp from accumulating in the roof space and rotting the timbers.

Guttering

A gutter is a narrow trough, attached to your fascia board, which disposes of rainwater down into the drains and prevents water damage and flooding. Installing a good quality and appropriate guttering system for your building will last for many years and require minimal maintenance, with the occasional need to clear and remove leaf debris.
